About the role

Right At School is seeking a part-time Childcare Educator to support schools and provide a safe, fun, and meaningful environment for children. The ideal candidate will drive the mission by organizing program materials, delivering dynamic daily curriculum, and maintaining the safety and well-being of children.

Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Maintain regular meetings with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 240 hours or more working in a licensed childcare facility as an assistant.
  • One of the following:
    • 2 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education.
    • 2 credits in early childhood and one noncredit department-approved course in early childhood.
    • A certificate from the WI registry as a child care teacher.
  • Completed Staff Health Report and clear TB test within 30 days of hire date.

Skills and expertise

  • 18 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 240 hours or more working in a licensed childcare facility as an assistant.
