About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work well with a variety of audiences.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility: Support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• New York State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, and pass a tuberculosis test.
• Education: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Substantial Experience: At least 3-5 years of substantial experience working with children under 13 years of age.

Pay

$17.00-$20.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday- Friday 7:00am- 8:20am AND 2:50pm-6:30pm.
