Part Time Childcare Educator - RI - East Greenwich Public Schools

About the role

Right At School is seeking dedicated educators to join our team. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind. We provide safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students across 17 states.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Mentor and guide children in a safe and supportive environment.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager to discuss professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• High school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Pass relevant background checks and meet state-specific requirements (CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.).

Pay

$18.00-$21.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM- 6:00 PM.
