Part Time Childcare Educator - Battle Ground School District

About the role

Right At School Childcare Program seeks Educators and Substitute Educators to join our team. The position offers a flexible split shift schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with options for Before School and After School shifts.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Mentor and guide children, fostering a love for learning and healthy living.

Requirements

• Proof of High school diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs.

Pay

Educator Pay Range: $18.00 - 20.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday-Friday Split Shift, must be available for some of the below shifts:

• Before School Shift: Mon - Fri: 6:30am-9:10am(W 10:00am)
• After School Shift: 2:40pm-6pm

Actual schedule will be based off needs of the programs.
