About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• New York State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements; have a First Aid and CPR-in-person certification, a cleared tuberculosis test, proof of MMR, 18+ years of age, and a high school diploma/GED.
• Substantial Experience: 3-5 years of substantial experience working with children under 13 years of age.

Pay

$17.00-$20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM - 8:35 AM and 2:50 PM - 6:00 PM
