About the role
At Tall Oaks Assisted Living in Reston, VA, we are seeking a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic therapy team. This position offers a flexible schedule working any 3 days per week, 15-20 hours per week total.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents to enhance their functional abilities and quality of life.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss resident progress and plan next steps.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all therapy sessions and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest occupational therapy research and best practices.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
