Part time Catering Assistant/Server-The Local

Key Duties and responsibilities

• Come to work on time and prepared for your shift in proper uniform.
• Follow all given directions and ensure quality standards are met.
• Aid the catering chef lead in loading required food and/or service items into catering vehicles.
• Aid in stocking food stations/buffets as directed by the catering chef lead.
• Understand and adhere to company policies, processes, and quality standards.
• Work with the catering chef lead to ensure proper setup and presentation according to the event plan.
• During service of events, duties may include setting tables, butler-passing menu items, serving, carrying trays, bussing tables, scraping plates, resetting venues at the end of the event, and removing trash.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation and/or other services as directed by management.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure while maintaining high quality standards.
• Competent at creating and upholding a safe working environment.
• Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with staff and customers.
• Good math and written communication skills.
• Track record of working in a flexible timetable based on employer’s requirements.
• Eager to perform all kinds of additional tasks assigned by the manager.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain quick, accurate, and excellent customer relationships.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
