Key Duties and responsibilities
- Come to work on time and prepared for your shift in proper uniform.
- Follow all given directions and ensure quality standards are met.
- Aid the catering chef lead in loading required food and/or service items into catering vehicles.
- Aid in stocking food stations/buffets as directed by the catering chef lead.
- Understand and adhere to company policies, processes, and quality standards.
- Work with the catering chef lead to ensure proper setup and presentation according to the event plan.
- During service of events, duties may include setting tables, butler-passing menu items, serving, carrying trays, bussing tables, scraping plates, resetting venues at the end of the event, and removing trash.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation and/or other services as directed by management.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure while maintaining high quality standards.
- Competent at creating and upholding a safe working environment.
- Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with staff and customers.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Track record of working in a flexible timetable based on employer’s requirements.
- Eager to perform all kinds of additional tasks assigned by the manager.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain quick, accurate, and excellent customer relationships.
- Have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
