About the role
At David’s Bridal, we empower both customers and employees to pursue their dreams and find the perfect gown or career fit. As a Stylist, you’ll provide 5-Star Customer Service, manage customer flow, and help brides achieve their dream wedding day.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm and adapt style to suit them.
- Manage customer flow using systems like Appointments/Customers/Point of Sale.
- Use iPad tools to research and communicate information to customers.
- Prepare for customer appointments by reviewing profiles and preparing fitting rooms.
- Build relationships by asking questions and understanding customer needs.
- Identify the perfect gown in the first three try-ons and set future appointments.
- Communicate the importance of alterations and promote personalization services.
- Ensure proper measurements and enter them into events to minimize returns and exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized store to support a flawless shopping experience.
- Report broken or damaged equipment to management.
- Maintain high dress code standards.
- Offer loyalty and partners program to support one-stop shopping.
- Analyze and decide on customer questions and provide product/service information.
- Support cash wrap behaviors and processes with accuracy.
- Complete special order dresses and achieve add-on goals.
- Set return appointments for the complete wedding party.
- Become a trusted advisor by completing training and building product knowledge.
- Strive to become a Circle of Excellence member by exceeding sales targets.
- Execute new processes, behaviors, contests, and programs as assigned.
- Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management.
- Accurately clock in and out for shifts, breaks, and meals.
- Follow loss prevention and security policies.
- Develop self and others by focusing on own development and learning.
- Share sales expertise and product knowledge with fellow stylists.
- Open to coaching and feedback to improve behaviors and/or processes.
- Complete required myLearning courses and remain current with myLearning Curriculum.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in apparel, service, or specialty store environments.
- Prior experience with computerized POS systems is preferred.

- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to see up close and at a distance, use peripheral vision and depth perception.

Pay
The standard base pay range for this role is posted at a minimum and maximum rate. The starting rate of pay offered will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, training, and/or experience, and internal equity.
