Summary Description

This is a seasonal part-time position for the summer, with potential for a winter seasonal role. The primary responsibility is to provide expert tune-ups, repairs, and build bikes, while also delivering exceptional customer service to contribute to the team's success and the company's overall performance.

Essential Functions

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to customers
• Demonstrate professional customer service
• Assess and address customer service needs
• Inspect, repair, and service bicycles
• Aid in generating bike and accessory sales
• Complete accurate paperwork
• Prioritize work orders efficiently
• Stay updated on industry products and trends
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and guests
• Protect company assets through loss prevention
• Work safely and efficiently

Required Skills/Abilities

• Passion for cycling and bicycles
• Strong customer service skills
• At least 1 year of bike mechanic experience in a retail setting
• Experience with various bike components, service tools, and machinery
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to build all levels of bikes from the box to a safe, ride-ready state
• Communicate fluently in English
• Basic computer skills
• Commitment to exceptional customer service
• Flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends

Working Conditions

• Physical demands: Regular lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

• Noon-time and weekend availability required
