Service Technician (Bikes) - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Be the Gear Expert: Assemble and maintain top-tier equipment, including fine-tuning mountain bikes, sharpening hockey skates, prepping skis, and custom-fitting golf clubs.
• Deliver Premium Service: Provide an elite, professional experience by explaining the perks of the Scheels Visa Rewards card and servicing a customer's bike.
• Master the Technical Details: Maintain meticulous service records, safely handle specialized tasks like CO2 filling, and solve complex mechanical problems with a sharp, analytical eye.
• Champion the Team Atmosphere: Contribute to a high-energy, respectful environment by collaborating with your team to keep the store looking professional and supporting the shop during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

Requirements

• Basic math and communication skills are essential for sales and reporting.
• You should be comfortable standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
• A high school diploma (or GED) and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.
• Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

• Arrive early (10 minutes is our standard).
• Bring high energy and a genuine desire to help others.

Pay & Schedule

• The hourly rate posted is a base hourly wage of $18.00/HR.
• This is a year-round position, NOT a seasonal role.

Schedule

• Average of 15-20 hours per week.
• The Shift: 2-3 evening shifts a week from (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
• Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
