Bike Technician

Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking a Seasonal Bike Technician to treat community catch basins for mosquito larvae populations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about public health, sustainability, and outdoor cycling.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate company-issued bicycles along assigned treatment routes using provided maps.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently apply biological larvicide treatments to catch basins.
• Document all treatment activities to ensure completion of customer contracts.
• Perform inspections and maintenance on equipment when not servicing accounts.
• Attend training sessions and assist with other field tasks as needed.
• Pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided).

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent with high school-level math skills.
• Effective communication in English (written and verbal).
• Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods.
• Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods on roadways (up to 15–20 miles per day).
• Ability to bend and lift a bicycle.
• Capable of using a smartphone, GPS, and system applications.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM (end times may vary).
• Average of 40 hours per week.
• Seasonal position supporting summer operations (generally April–October).

Pay

$16 per hour.
