Part-Time Bartender - Oskar Blues Tasty Weasel Taproom

Part-time position focused on delivering exceptional customer service and beverage expertise in a taproom setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly and efficient food and beverage service to guests.
• Communicates any concerns or comments to the manager on duty each shift.
• Uses enthusiastic salesmanship to answer customer questions and recommend CANarchy beers and other items.
• Fills alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink orders promptly for patrons at the bar or seated tables.
• Anticipates customer needs and frequently checks on satisfaction and preferences.
• Accurately uses the Aloha POS system to place all food and beverage orders.
• Communicates with taproom and brewery management to ensure beer inventory is fully stocked and accurately accounted for.
• Checks customer identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Adheres to state liquor laws and CANarchy’s RASP plan for responsible alcohol service.
• Demonstrates leadership and teamwork while working respectfully with all team members.
• Stocks, prepares, and manages beverage garnishes to ensure freshness and quality.
• Collects payment and operates the cash register with accurate cash handling.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar, including washing glassware, utensils, and refrigerators.
• Ensures adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies.
• Aesthetically arranges bottles and glasses on shelves.
• Orders and maintains inventory of draft systems, beer, liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies.
• Keeps the bar area clean, organized, and presentable to customers while observing health and safety procedures.
• Follows company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to safe food handling practices.
• Provides full and timely food service and proper preparation of food products where applicable.
• Stocks and maintains retail and packaged beer to-go areas.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of liquor laws and compliance with them.
• Skill in using the Aloha POS system.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and enjoyment of working with people.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to prioritize efficiently while remaining calm under pressure.
• Ability to handle cash quickly and accurately.
• Experience resolving difficult customer situations.
• Certified Cicerone preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Serve Safe or TIPS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Must have the physical and mental strength to perform duties in varying environments and handle operational stressors.
• Frequently required to lift and move 10–50 pounds.
• Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.

Pay

$12.14/hour + tips
