Part-time Banquet Cook

About the role

The Westin Great Southern Hotel in downtown Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its culinary team. Located in a historic red brick building near the German Village, the hotel offers a unique blend of a historic feel and modern amenities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers, date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, ensuring all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup.
• Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages and assist in keeping the buffet stocked.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Line Cook, preferably at a hotel.
• Food Handler certification.
• Physical stamina and pride in providing high-quality preparation and presentation of food.
• Able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
