Part Time Bakery Clerk

Cub Plymouth on Vicksburg Lane is seeking a dedicated individual for a part-time bakery position. This role supports the bakery department through preparation, wrapping, stocking, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and wrap bakery products
• Stock, rotate, and face bakery items
• Perform department clean-up duties
• Assist with department merchandising as directed
• Respond to customer questions or requests

Requirements

• Operate equipment such as shrink wrap machines, label machines, bread slicers, knives, and bakery racks
• Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service with ongoing customer interaction
• Exercise good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, and repetitive motions
• Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces

Schedule

Varied weekly shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Compensation is based on a progressive union scale, with actual pay dependent on factors such as education, experience, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
