About the role

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator/Registrar is a vital role that greets visitors and patients, inputs and updates patient information, and coordinates patient admission needs.

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and patients in person or by phone, upholding excellent customer service
  • Enters and updates patient demographic and financial information
  • Obtains appropriate applications and forms, confirms signatures, and photocopies/scans documents as needed
  • Provides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities
  • Works with partnering departments to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as needed
  • Captures patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracks board information
  • Maintains audit accuracy standards and works worklists and error reports
  • Maintains a safe environment, reporting and addressing environmental hazards and patient safety issues

Requirements

  • Beginner level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work an average of 30 hours per week, within the following hours (exact schedule will fluctuate per business need): Weekday PM shift - 6:30am-8:30pm, Saturdays & Sundays 8:00am - 8:30pm
  • Full flu vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate flu booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient care settings

Pay and Schedule

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Schedule

The Associate Patient Care Coordinator/Registrar works an average of 30 hours per week, within the following hours (exact schedule will fluctuate per business need): Weekday PM shift - 6:30am-8:30pm, Saturdays & Sundays 8:00am - 8:30pm.
