Part Time After School Educator - Lamar/Fulshear

About the role

We are seeking part-time educators to join our Right At School team. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and provide peace of mind to families. We offer flexible schedules and a variety of locations within the Lamar District Schools.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities
• Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver dynamic daily curriculum engaging children in academic and social character-building
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
• Lead fun fitness activities and guide children at play
• Mentor children in homework completion
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Age 18 or older
• Six months of previous experience in childcare in a group childcare setting or school-type setting (verification required)
• Live within the Lamar area

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
• High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age or older
• Works well in a team environment
• At least six months of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel

Pay

$15-$17 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

2:45 pm-6:00 pm (full schedule Monday through Friday)

Locations

Our programs are located within the Lamar District Schools. Must also be willing to work at other after-school site locations inside the Lamar area schools as needed.
