We are excited to announce that our part-time after-school staff positions will be available starting August 2026. Our programs are designed to provide exceptional, affordable educational opportunities for students, families, and schools within the Lamar District Schools.
About the role
Educator at Right At School plays a crucial role in inspiring a love of learning and supporting the growth of young minds. Your responsibilities will include organizing lesson materials, documenting attendance and observations, delivering dynamic daily curricula, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for children.
Responsibilities
- Organize program materials for lessons and activities
- Document attendance, incidents, and other observations
- Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management
- Lead fun fitness activities and guide children at play
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager for professional progress and team accountability
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Age 18 or older
- Six months of previous experience in childcare in a group childcare setting or school-type setting (verification required)
- Live within the Lamar area

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Commitment to healthy living and inspiring a love for learning
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
