Part Time After School Educator - Lamar/Fulshear

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after-school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Eighteen years of age
  • Six months of previous experience in childcare in a group childcare setting or school-type setting (will require verification)
  • Live within the Lamar area

Pay

$15-$17 per hour (based on education, experience)

Schedule

2:45 pm-6:00 pm (must be able to work full schedule Monday through Friday)

Location

Our programs are located within the Lamar District Schools. Must also be willing to work at other after-school site locations inside the Lamar area schools as needed.

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills
  • High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age or older
  • Works well in a team environment
  • At least six months of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • Ability to lift 40lbs

  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
