About the role
The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping within the venue. They review invoices and reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy, ensure financial records are up-to-date and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards, and possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Answering general office telephones, providing customer service and office support
- Accounts Receivable: create invoices, send them to customers and occasionally receive and post payments
- Accounts Payable: create purchase orders, match deliveries to PO, receive POs, match invoices to POs; invoice entry; vendor file maintenance
- Payroll: employee file maintenance, process employee time records, submit payroll files accurately and on time
- Data Entry: assist other departments as needed
- Maintaining organized storage and maintenance of all financial records
- Ensuring effective and efficient performance of accounting and operational accounting functions, and accurate, timely financial statements for the location
- Proactively reducing outstanding collectibles, assisting in processes to meet reporting needs, and providing audit support for all financial and operational activities
- Maintaining appropriate controls, assisting other departments, and performing other duties as assigned
- Practicing safe work habits and completing company and venue safety and general compliance training
- Maintaining a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management
- Adhering to Legends Global and venue company policies
- Completing other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or finance
- One to three years of accounting experience to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll (food service environment preferred)
- Math, organizational, quick addition, good communication skills
- Fast learner
- Experience in Microsoft Professional Office
- Organized work behavior, ability to jump from task to task and prioritize as needed
- Personable, can handle typical stress from deadlines, etc.
- Record keeping skills

- Detail-oriented
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form

Benefits
Competitive salary, $23.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

Available to work part time days (between 10-15 hours weekly; seasonally (spring/summer/fall))
