Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for thermoformed products.
• Work with the prototyping and shop teams to create and evaluate product prototypes, identifying potential design improvements.
• Conduct basic tests and analysis on prototypes to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
• Redesign or revise packages as requested by the customer or in conjunction with production, shop, prototype, or engineering teams to efficiently produce a quality package.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings, design specifications, and other documentation necessary for manufacturing.

Requirements

• Preferred: 4-year degree in a technology field or engineering from an accredited school.
• Minimum: Related drafting courses in another field of study (additional work experience may compensate).
• One year of work experience is required (given the preferred educational background).
• Additional related work experience in drafting and mechanical systems is advantageous.
• Prior related experience in a machine shop or production is very beneficial.
• Computer literacy and basic CAD familiarity are essential.
