About the role
To coordinate and monitor various volunteer programs and related activities for the Department of Parks and Recreation by developing and implementing outreach and engagement strategies and fostering community partnerships to promote volunteer involvement and strengthen connections with the City of Little Rock community and support departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies for volunteer programs.
- Foster community partnerships to promote volunteer involvement.
- Monitor and evaluate volunteer programs and activities.
- Coordinate with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure program success.
- Manage volunteer recruitment and retention efforts.
- Work closely with the Department of Parks and Recreation staff to align volunteer initiatives with departmental goals.
Requirements
- Completion of two (2) years of college coursework in Business or Public Administration, Parks and Recreation, Law Enforcement, Public Relations, or a related area.
- Two (2) years of experience in the coordination of volunteer programs.
- One (1) year of leadership experience.

Qualifications
- Valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License.
- Standard First Aid and Community CPR certifications, or other certifications which incorporate Standard First Aid and Infant, Child and Adult CPR, within six (6) months of employment.
