About the role
The City of Loveland Parks Division manages outdoor courts and athletics fields to include reservation management. This role focuses on connecting user groups to Loveland's tennis, pickleball, basketball, and sand volleyball courts as well as softball, baseball, soccer, football, lacrosse, or any other grass athletic field.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain schedules, weekly facility reports, sports lighting schedules & agreements for City athletic fields/courts and outdoor venues; makes schedules available for all necessary parties.
- Serve as primary contact and liaison for internal and external customers in scheduling athletic fields/courts and outdoor venues.
- Process requests by documenting, communicating and coordinating with internal and external customers including, but not limited to, City staff, school district personnel, community organizations and the general public.
- Effectively coordinate and communicate schedule changes and closures of athletic fields and venues to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Acts as liaison between event organizer and the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Invoice and collect fees from outside user groups as well as insurance certificates.
- Aid Construction Project Manager in checking keys in/out to internal staff and user groups.
- Contribute to improvements in policies, procedures, and resources by identifying needs and making appropriate budget requests, recommending new systems, methods and equipment.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external staff and customers, including but not limited to, co-workers, the public, special interest groups, school district personnel and sports associations.
- Communicate information as appropriate to the public and for internal purposes related to documentation, reporting and planning.
- Maintain, monitor and update records as necessary.
- Assist with projects as needed.
- Serve as liaison for City committees as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: 4 Yr/Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Public Administration, Public Relations, and/or Consumer Science.
- Experience Required: 3 Years experience in relevant areas of facility coordination, public relations or communications.
- Must be in addition to any experience used to satisfy the education requirement.
- High level of computer proficiency.
- Preferred: Experience using computerized scheduling systems, preferably RecTrac, Musco Control Link, Financials or closely related system.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Frequent: Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal.
- Frequent: Light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
- Occasional: Exposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
