PARKS - Grounds Maintenance
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Park Manager and Assistant Park Manager, the Grounds Maintenance / Groundskeeper team member is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the park grounds and facilities. This position includes landscaping, preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment operation, and hands-on upkeep throughout the property. From repairing fences and fixing outdoor fixtures to maintaining trails, buildings, and landscaping, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of maintenance, construction, and outdoor work.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds through mowing, trimming, edging, leaf removal, and landscaping
- Plant, fertilize, seed, mulch, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees
- Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout the property
- Repair and maintain fences, benches, signs, gates, picnic areas, and outdoor fixtures
- Assist with trail maintenance and outdoor improvement projects
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on grounds equipment and public areas
- Troubleshoot and fix minor maintenance issues as they arise
- Assist with painting, pressure washing, drainage work, and basic carpentry repairs
- Safely operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, utility vehicles, and hand tools
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, public spaces, and guest-use areas
- Respond quickly to safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and weather-related issues
- Help maintain a safe, organized workshop and properly care for all tools and equipment
- Support special events and seasonal park projects as needed
