Responsibilities
- Perform work associated with the day-to-day operations of a parking facility encompassing a three-level garage and a surface area lot, including assisting patrons with entry, parking, and exit.
- Verbally interact with guests to explain processes, procedures, machine locations, payment methods, and resolve concerns; refer complex issues to the manager on-duty.
- Post inter-office communications and prepare for peak periods by managing available parking stalls or redirecting flow to other areas.
- Cooperate with law enforcement and security personnel for the benefit of patrons and their property.
- Provide visual oversight of operations by making rounds and recommend improvements based on factual data.
- Complete operational reports on equipment performance, fee collection, and accounting; prepare cash deposits and daily activity reports.
- Validate parking based on military and civilian rank; verify associated data, identify and correct discrepancies, and protect sensitive information.
- Operate fee computers, process parking tickets according to fee schedules, and verify IDs.
- Execute closing procedures, send information to designated individuals, and clear computers at designated times.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory, and manage key controls during the assigned shift.
- Prepare stalls for cleaning and place traffic cones.
- Enforce facility rules, policies, and internal controls.
- Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of automated equipment.
- Actuate parking equipment using keys or codes; monitor and maintain ticket, receipt, change, and supply levels in gates and pay stations.
- Maintain database and accurate expiration dates.
- Accept payments for monthly parking fees and renewals; process refunds and issue receipts.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- A physical examination is required.
- Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and various hours of the day and week when required.
Qualifications
Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities (KSAs) as they pertain to this position.
- Work experience demonstrating organization skills needed to work independently and complete daily assignments with independent judgment and prioritization.
- Ability to complete various reports in accordance with direction and instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

- This job is open to candidates who live in the commuting area (the Island of Oahu). If the area of consideration is expanded, all candidates will be considered. Relocation costs are at the candidate's expense if residing outside the local commuting area.
