Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the operation.
  • Establishes, maintains, or controls files and logs.
  • Applies knowledge of the organization, its functions, and regulations to carry out a wide variety of administrative functions (e.g., personnel, accounting, budget, purchasing, logistics and supply, transportation, security, etc.).
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors, provides required information from own knowledge or office files, or refers callers to the appropriate person; follows up as required.
  • Types various correspondence and reports.
  • Tabulates statistical data into final format.
  • Gathers data and documentation for special projects and prepares briefing support materials.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Work hours may involve weekday, weekend, holiday, and night duty.

Qualifications

Resumes must clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess:

  • Basic computer and math skills, and clerical and administrative work experience performing the following duties: filing documents, organizing electronic and hard copy files, scheduling appointments, answering telephones, submitting time & attendance, requesting supplies as needed, performing inventory on current supplies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other software as required.
  • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • Previous work experience with NAF MWR. This experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate.
