Parking Enforcement Officer

About the role

Propark Mobility is currently hiring a Parking Enforcement Officer for seasonal part-time opportunities to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Patrol an assigned area to observe automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles and other vehicles for parking violations in multiple locations
• Issue citations for improper use of specifically designated areas, improper parking such as parking in crosswalks or other sidewalks, improperly parked motorcycles, parking in preferential areas, and related violations
• Operate license plate reading technology through a touch screen interface
• Supervise towing and removal of vehicles by contracted vendors
• Check the operational condition of enforcement vehicles and perform routine operator maintenance such as fueling the vehicle
• Complete data required for citations including but not limited to violation type, time, date and location of offense, vehicle license plate number and/or vehicle identification number
• Trash pickup at multiple locations
• "Boot" vehicles that are in violation with a device called the Barnacle
• Exercise proper judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with people
• Provide the company's standards of service with each customer including maintaining the required uniform appearance, stating the company greeting, answering questions, resolving issues
• May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company's maintenance checklists
• Other special projects as assigned by location management

Requirements

• You are at least 18 years old
• High School degree preferred but not required
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with other employees and the parking customer
• Ability to provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner
• Available Mornings, Evenings, Overnight

Pay

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time (Now - mid October). Schedule will vary. Available Mornings, Evenings, Overnight.

Physical Demands: the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs.

Work Environment: the employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
