Park Maintenance Laborer - Seasonal
Pay: $16.847 - $21.312 per hour, DOQ
Seasonal/Temporary, Non-Exempt, Not Benefit Eligible

Fall into a fulfilling role within the City of Eagan as a seasonal Park Maintenance Laborer!

Essential Position Functions

• Mowing Crew: Operating hand mowers, weed whips, riding mowers, tractors, and leaf blowers.
• General Park Maintenance: Litter removal, shelter/restroom and building maintenance and cleaning.
• Athletic Field Maintenance: Assisting in the maintenance of the City’s athletic fields at various parks and athletic complexes.
• Other Position Functions: Assist other city staff as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older by first date of employment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• Able to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
• Able to perform all essential functions of the position under the working conditions described.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, janitorial work, or light construction.
• Commercial driver’s license.

Working Conditions

• 95% field 5% other
• Weekday Position: 40 hours per week M-F 7am-3pm

Work Hours

• This position is not eligible for benefits.
