About the role

The ideal candidate will provide support to parents of children with special needs, offering guidance and resources to help them navigate the challenges they face.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to parents of children with special needs
  • Offer resources and referrals to community services and programs
  • Facilitate parent-to-parent connections and support groups
  • Assist with advocacy efforts on behalf of families

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Passionate about supporting families and individuals with special needs
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email, word processing)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
