Parent Education Coordinator

About the role

Provide high-quality, strengths-based parent education services that help parents develop a range of parenting skills to support the healthy development and overall well-being of youth. Services are delivered in Arbor Circle offices, community buildings, and virtually through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma-informed care, hope, and evidence-based research.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff
• Coordinate and facilitate groups
• Conduct outreach
• Develop programs
• Prepare reports
• Some regional travel, especially across Muskegon and Ottawa counties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and clean driving record
• Knowledge and understanding of Muskegon and Ottawa community resources
• Experience leading/facilitating groups
• Experience working with fathers preferred
• Certified Prevention Specialist or willingness to work toward certification
