Paratransit Operator
About the role
Transdev is seeking a Driver to join their team in Jefferson Parish, La. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for the disabled community, upholding professional standards, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide door-to-door transportation for passengers safely and efficiently
- Ensure passengers are properly secured and assist with all entries and exits
- Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment
- Report all incidents, accidents, and mechanical concerns promptly
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license in good standing with the ability to obtain a Chauffer's License
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Punctual with an emphasis on attendance
Qualifications
- Passenger driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of local area routes and landmarks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in using technology related to the job
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
$16.97 - $18.85 starting pay, with progression to $18.85 over 2 years.
Schedule
Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the disabled community.
