Scope
To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students.
Qualifications
ParaProfessional I (Grade 18)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education, OR successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
- Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated position.
- Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator.
ParaProfessional II (Grade 19)
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
- Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated position.
- Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid State Driver's License required.
Schedule & Pay
- 9-month contract, 6.500 hours/day
- Grade 18: $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculum)
- Grade 19: $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher)
