Yellowstone Academy (YA) provides a supportive, structured, and student-centered learning environment focused on academic growth, career readiness, and character development. YA serves both a residential population of students from throughout the United States and a day school population from surrounding Montana school districts. Primary Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction under the direction of a licensed teacher
- Aid students with academic tasks, assignments, and skill development
- Provide one-on-one and small group support
- Reinforce positive behavior strategies and classroom expectations
- Help maintain a structured, organized, and safe learning environment
- Support students with emotional regulation and social skill development
- Assist with supervision during transitions, breaks, and activities
- Auxiliary support for students working in online learning platforms for credit recovery and coursework
- Collaborate with teachers, residential staff, and support teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $17.75/hour (DOE)

Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with students with diverse academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain structure, consistency, and professionalism
- PREFERRED: Associate degree or higher (education or related field)
- Experience working in a school, residential, or youth-serving setting
- Experience supporting students with behavioral or emotional needs
- Familiarity with trauma-informed or relationship-based approaches
