Paraprofessional

Summary of Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines
• Assist the student(s) in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session
• Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Spanish speaking preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students
• Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills

Work hours: 10 months, full-time
Pay range: $18.03–$19.28/hour. Additional stipends available based upon assignment
