Pay: $19–$22/hour

About the role
At Ability Matters, our paraprofessionals do more than classroom support. We partner with schools and families to create inclusive, personalized, and community-based learning experiences for students with autism and other neurological disabilities. You are directly helping students build life skills, confidence, and independence that carries far beyond school walls.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group instructional support to help students achieve their IEP goals.
- Help build behavioral, academic, social, and life skills.
- Support students in classroom and real-world settings.
- Track student progress, behavior, and educational goals to support individualized instruction.
- Partner with teachers, families, and staff to provide consistent, student-centered support.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and growth.
- Serve as a positive role model while helping students feel safe, engaged, and included throughout the school day.
Every day is hands-on and meaningful.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, 2-year degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous education or human services experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation.
