About the role
These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.
- Provide immediate care and response to medical emergencies, accidents, and life-threatening situations.
- Stabilize patients and provide urgent medical care.
- Ensure safe transport to healthcare facilities.
- Contribute to the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision.
- Lead daily operation activities and provide assistance or training to lower-level employees.
Requirements
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- No experience required. Advanced life support experience preferred.
- Licensure: Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate or Paramedic required. Paramedic preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS required. PALS and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Level II or higher required to operate a vehicle within 90 days of hire.
Physical Demands
- Standing for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, traveling, climbing (ladder, steps).
- Driving.
- Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
- Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs.
- May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $21.95 - $32.71 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
