About the role

The Paramedic is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using appropriate techniques and adhering to the standards of care set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using appropriate techniques.
• Adhere to the standards of care set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).
• Meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 100 pounds and assisting with 300 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional post-high school education desirable.
• Certification: Meets Indiana State Paramedic guidelines and holds a valid state Paramedic certification/license.
• CPR required.
• Valid driver's license.
• ACLS required.
• One year experience preferred.
• Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds and assist with 300 pounds.
