About the role
The Paramedic is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using appropriate techniques and adhering to the standards of care set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).
Responsibilities
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during transport.
- Administer medications and perform emergency medical procedures as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Additional post-high school education is desirable.
- Valid Indiana State Paramedic certification/license.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- ACLS certification.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Meets insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds and assisting with up to 300 pounds.

- Meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
