About the role

The Paramedic is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using appropriate techniques and adhering to the standards of care set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety and comfort during transport.
• Administer medications and perform emergency medical procedures as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare providers.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Additional post-high school education is desirable.
• Valid Indiana State Paramedic certification/license.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• ACLS certification.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Meets insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds and assisting with up to 300 pounds.

Qualifications

• Meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
