About the role

The Paramedic at Parkview EMS is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and adhering to the standards of care set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and adhering to the standards of care.
• Meet Indiana State Paramedic guidelines and hold a valid state Paramedic certification/license.
• Hold a valid CPR certification.
• Hold an ACLS certification.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Maintain insurability under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.
• Show excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 100 pounds and assisting with 300 pounds.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Additional post-high school education is desirable.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies, without a "driver exclusion", and/or other insurance modifications and/or high risk classification.

Qualifications

• One year of experience preferred.
• Meets the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 100 pounds and assisting with 300 pounds.
