About the role
The Paramedic is a licensed professional who functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). The Paramedic assists with patient care by performing clinical and supportive functions they have documented competency to perform, adhering to policy, procedures, and established standards of practice.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; minimum education required for licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.
- State of Florida Paramedic License.
- BLS and ACLS certification through an approved American Heart Association program.
- CPI certification within three (3) months of hire.
- Complete blood draw competency within three (3) months of hire.
- Complete EKG competency within three (3) months of hire.
Preferred: One (1) year of Emergency Services experience.
