Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision
- Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts
- Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies
- Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by our hospital policy
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care
Qualifications
- Basic EMT-P Registry and E.R. experience preferred*
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- CPI within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually
