About the role

The selected candidate will work as a member of the Emergency Department clinical team. Responsibilities include the transportation and care of patients during transport to tertiary care facilities, as well as convalescent transport to facilities or home.

Responsibilities

• Transport and care for patients during transport to tertiary care facilities
• Perform convalescent transport to facilities or home
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide appropriate age specific care in compliance with standards of practice in the hospital setting when not transporting patients
• Utilize skill set approved by NC-OEMS and hospital policies

Requirements

• Completion of OEMS approved training & competency program for Paramedic
• Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification
• Six months experience in a pre-hospital environment as a Paramedic
• Certification in BCLS, ACLS, PALS
• North Carolina Emergency Vehicle Driver certification or comparable
• Current Class C driver's license
• Current three (3) year driving history absent of violations

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Hours for Ambulance Services are 10:00am - 8:00pm. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the department.
