About the role

Performs responsible work in rendering emergency and non-emergency medical care and life-saving measures to critically ill or injured persons of all ages on basic and advanced life support levels.

Requirements

• Successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services training program or an equivalent training program.
• Successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certification program or equivalent training program.
• Valid NC driver's license with a three‑year acceptable driving record.
• Must meet the minimum requirements for the application to be forwarded to EMS by Human Resources.
• Employment contingent on passing an assessment center, physical agility test, pre‑employment drug screen, skills validation program, and clinical and operational clearance during the year‑long probationary period.
• Assessment Centers: two sessions available – October 15‑16 and October 22‑23, 2026, with hire date of February 1, 2027.

Benefits

Pay

Hiring range: $29.25/hour – $44.30/hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, non‑exempt.
