What You’ll Do As a Paralegal Trainee – Tax, you'll join a two-year training program supporting attorneys and paralegals within the Tax group. You'll gain practical legal experience, develop technical and professional skills, and build a foundation for a long-term paralegal career. Successful participants who meet program milestones may be invited to apply for a Paralegal I position. Support tax matters: Assist with tax, formation, and securities filings and prepare communications to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Manage legal documentation: Prepare reports, maintain spreadsheets, proofread documents, and organize files within the Document Management System (DMS). Collaborate across teams: Partner with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and vendors to gather information and support ongoing matters. Conduct research and data management: Perform database searches and maintain accurate records in accordance with firm standards. Participate in professional development: Complete training, assessments, and skill-building milestones throughout the program. What You’ll Bring Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with document management systems is a plus. Organization and attention to detail: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Communication and teamwork: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Professionalism: Strong judgment, confidentiality, adaptability, and a genuine interest in developing a legal career.
