About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Paralegal specializing in Probate and Estate Planning for our Myrtle Beach office. Experience in the following areas is preferred:

  • Trust and estate planning
  • Probate and trust administration
  • Business transactions
  • Document management and analysis
  • Preparation of fiduciary accountings
  • Client interaction

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of estate planning documents
  • Preparing documents for probate and trust administration
  • Preparing probate and trust accountings
  • Preparing documents for business transactions
  • Document analysis and management
  • Communicating with clients
  • Communicating and filing documents with various courts, but primarily probate courts

Requirements

  • Three to five years of complex Trust and Estate experience is preferred
  • Bachelor of Arts degree or Paralegal Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and employees of all levels of the firm
  • Experience in electronic document discovery and database management
  • Ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong computer skills
  • Willingness to participate in shared office duties and requirements
