The Wisconsin State Public Defenders office (SPD) is recruiting for a Paralegal – Limited Term Employee (LTE) in the Peshtigo Trial office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake and evaluate indigency.
• Investigate cases and gather information to assist attorneys in case preparation.
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents.

Qualifications

• Preparing legal documents (e.g., drafting pleadings, briefs; gathering records; organizing data, etc.).
• Working with computers (e.g., word processing programs, database entry, spreadsheets, etc.).

Pay

Starting salary: $25.00/hour.
