About the role

Stange Law Firm, PC is accepting resumes for a Full-Time Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary to join their Clayton, Missouri office, which is moving to Creve Coeur, Missouri on August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally greet clients and visitors.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and accurately relay messages.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with client communications.
  • Court and opposing counsel coordination.
  • Pleadings, correspondence, and document drafting.
  • Document preparation and filing.
  • Client file organization.
  • Hearing calendaring.
  • Litigation support tasks.
  • Court electronic filings.
  • Mail processing.
  • Document scanning, copying, and distribution.
  • Time entry.
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
  • General administrative duties and special projects.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a law firm (preferred but not required).
  • Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and a strong desire for a successful career in the legal profession.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with family law or litigation experience (preferred but not required).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology and software.
  • A positive attitude, professionalism, dependability, and outstanding customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
