About the role
Stange Law Firm, PC is accepting resumes for a Full-Time Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary to join their Clayton, Missouri office, which is moving to Creve Coeur, Missouri on August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Professionally greet clients and visitors.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and accurately relay messages.
- Schedule appointments and assist with client communications.
- Court and opposing counsel coordination.
- Pleadings, correspondence, and document drafting.
- Document preparation and filing.
- Client file organization.
- Hearing calendaring.
- Litigation support tasks.
- Court electronic filings.
- Mail processing.
- Document scanning, copying, and distribution.
- Time entry.
- Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency.
- General administrative duties and special projects.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a law firm (preferred but not required).
- Strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and a strong desire for a successful career in the legal profession.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with family law or litigation experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology and software.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, dependability, and outstanding customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
