Paralegal II
About the Role
This position acts as a liaison between Legal, EnFin, Axia, QSS’s business teams, and external parties, handling demand letters, complaints, claims, and other legal filings related to residential business. The Paralegal II reports directly to the Director of Contracts or another designated senior management personnel under the General Counsel. This role is based in Irvine, California and includes supervising two direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Case Management:
- Acknowledge Service of Processes and send prompt acknowledgement letters.
- Liaise between business teams and legal to verify facts for demand letters, complaints, and other legal filings.
- Prepare case analysis, identifying issues, omissions, and discrepancies.
- Draft demand letters, narrative summaries, and chronologies of installer risk records under attorney supervision.
- Manage and update a case spreadsheet/database of legal claims, complaints, and filings.
- Provide administrative support to in-house counsels, including:
- Preparing letters, claims, schedules, invoices, status reports, and supporting documents.
- Interfacing with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional teams to process invoices and expenses.
- Setting up meetings and handling other administrative duties or ad-hoc projects.
- Review NDAs and other agreements (e.g., PSAs, SOWs, amendments, assignments, estoppels) under the direction of the Director of Legal Ops and Contracts or an Attorney.
- Manage and maintain version control for TPO contracts, including drafts, clean, and redlined versions, and update the version control tracker.
- Serve as a backup for other team members within Legal Ops as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5–7+ years of experience in an in-house legal department or law firm.
- Advanced understanding of litigation processes and ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and time management skills.
- Agile and effective communicator with clear oral and written explanations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and deadlines.
- Proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and tech-savvy.
- Advanced/Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite, G-Suite, Salesforce, Adobe Pro (PDF), AdobeSign/DocuSign.
- Willingness to learn new software or systems (e.g., Agiloft).
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Notary public, Remote Online Notary (RON), or willingness to become one.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Experience in the solar or renewable energy industry.

Pay
The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on location. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as skill set, education, licenses, certifications, essential job duties, and experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. This range applies to CA positions only.
