Paralegal II

About the role

The Commercial Litigation team (“COLT”) at DaVita is seeking a Paralegal II to support commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including health insurance payor, vendor, real estate, and other business disputes across the country.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with COLT attorneys on pre-litigation and active litigation matters, including matter intake, triage, and progress tracking
• Independently interface with outside counsel and business teams to drive matters forward
• Maintain matter files, including matter data, and document organization and filing
• Manage document collection and production, including partnering with and overseeing e-discovery when needed
• Prepare and manage legal holds
• Establish a collaborative working relationship with members of COLT, the broader legal team, and business clients
• Develop and execute various special assignments, including presentations
• Recognize, evaluate, and participate in process improvements and establishment of best demonstrated practices for COLT and other legal and business teams

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (required)
• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program (preferred)
• 4-8 years of general litigation paralegal experience
• Ability to proactively and independently manage workload and operate in support of team needs

• Ability to work within a large, complex organization

Pluses

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, iManage and Relativity Discovery
• Trial/arbitration preparation experience

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days/week in office at DaVita’s headquarters located in Denver, Colorado

Pay
