Paralegal, Commercial Property

About the role

Based at either our Stockton or Newcastle office, the successful candidate will be joining a supportive and collegiate team that has an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a tailored service to all clients.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating legal documentation for one of our key clients
• Handling a mixed caseload from conception to completion
• Developing professional relationships to assist with the growth of our client base
• Performing administrative duties in respect of own case load e.g. ordering property searches, registering property with Land Registry, general file management
• Carrying out legal research
• Providing support and assistance to team members in connection with more complex matters

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role within commercial property, or possibly residential property
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• The ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Drive to broaden areas of expertise and be able to work effectively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• The ability to travel between the firm’s Stockton and Newcastle offices on an occasional basis, in line with the needs of the business
