About the Role

The Paralegal will manage a caseload of 50-75 cases, assisting attorneys with drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. This position requires detailed auditing of cases, including medical bills, case expenses, and subrogation liens, and ensuring accurate case data management in Filevine.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage a caseload of 50-75 cases
- Accurately draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery, and various motions
- Continually communicate with clients, counsel, experts, and courts
- Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens)
- Accurately maintain case management data in Filevine (case management database)
- Prepare trial documents and assist with trial preparation
- Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle collisions
- Proficient in preparing discovery responses
- Maintain professional appearance and behavior
- Working knowledge of common deadlines and protocols of personal injury litigation
Requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person, and via email
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
- Minimum of 4 years of experience required in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm (5+ years preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Case Management software (Filevine preferred)
- Trucking litigation experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- Move or Traverse – Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.
- May occasionally ascend/descend stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria, and parking area
- Dexterity – Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer
- Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs
- Communicate – The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Detect – The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
